Vacuum rug regularly to prevent dirt accumulating in the wool fibres. Use a white cloth to immediately clean spills by blotting it gently. Avoid rubbing the spill. Club soda may be used to neutralize acidic spills such as red wine or tomato sauce. Bicarbonate of soda may be used to soak up residual moisture and vacuumed when dry. Don't steam clean, wet shampoo or any other method that involves water saturation on a natural fibre rug
